What's really happening · Running entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent to us — no prompt, no answer, no telemetry. Zero cloud. This is the thesis, live: intelligence you own, on your machine. It is a deliberately tiny open model (Llama 3.2 / Qwen 2.5, ~0.5–1.5B parameters) — not our frontier system. It's here to prove that useful AI can run locally, privately, at zero cost to us and to you. Expect small-model quality: quick, sometimes rough. Needs a WebGPU browser (Chrome/Edge) and an explicit opt-in, one-time model download that then works offline; without WebGPU it shows a static worked example instead.

Pull a real 10 Hz rhythm out of real noise with a from-scratch FFT — the primitive every BCI is built on.
When you close your eyes, your brain hums at about ten cycles a second. Finding that hum inside the noise is the first, hardest trick of every brain-computer interface — do it yourself, live.

show me · the plain-English storyA synthetic one-channel “EEG” — a 10 Hz alpha rhythm you control, plus noise and an optional mains hum — is analysed live by a from-scratch FFT: the spectrum is measured, the 8–12 Hz band is reconstructed, and the detection verdict flips only when the measured alpha share crosses the threshold.
Wow — The alpha rhythm this demo hunts is real neuroscience nearly a century old — Hans Berger recorded it in 1929 — and eyes-closed alpha detection is still the “hello world” of consumer BCI today.
Try this — Slide “eyes closed” to zero and watch the verdict honestly flip to “no α” — then bring it back up slowly and find the exact threshold where the measured share crosses the line.
What's really happening · The signal is synthetic (a controlled rhythm + noise + optional 50 Hz mains hum) — no electrode is attached to anyone — but every number is honestly computed from it: a real 512-point FFT at 256 Hz, real band-power integration, a real FFT-domain band-pass. The protected work is the lab's sub-$600 hardware and its captured data, not this maths.
